Questions

Good to know

Do you teach complete beginners?
Absolutely — most of my pupils started as complete beginners. Whether you're 5 or 75, we start with the basics and build from there.
What ages do you teach?
All ages. My current pupils range from 5 to 75 — children, teenagers and adults are all welcome.
Do I need my own piano or keyboard?
Yes — you'll need a piano or keyboard at home to practise on between lessons. A basic full-size keyboard is fine to begin with, and I'm happy to advise if you're unsure what to get.
Where do in-person lessons take place?
At my home studio in Camberley. For younger pupils, a parent or guardian is welcome to stay throughout the lesson.
How do online lessons work?
Online lessons run one-to-one over Zoom, so you can learn from home wherever you are in the UK. You just need a device with a camera and your piano or keyboard nearby.
How much are lessons?
30 minutes is £12.50, 45 minutes is £15, and 60 minutes is £20 — the same price in person or online. Lessons are usually weekly and billed monthly. New learners can start with a 20-minute taster for £5.
What happens in a taster session?
A relaxed 20-minute introductory session for £5 — a no-pressure way to meet, try a few things at the piano, and see if lessons are right for you.
Can you help me prepare for exams?
My lessons focus on strong foundations, confidence and a real love of playing, and I can help early-stage learners work towards their first graded exams.
